Family Funday on Sunday 3 September ’23

Rathkeale is organising a Family Fun Day on Sunday, 3 September in the Abbey grounds starting at 1 pm. Entertainment will include a special performance by the Garda Band, Clonroosk Funfair, BBQ, Wheel of Fortune, Bingo, 5-a-Side Soccer, Tug of War, Bonnie Baby Competition, Glamourous Granny Competition, Best Dressed Grandad Competition, Prize for the Best Dog, Face Painting by Nina, Home Baked Goods Stalls, as well as Clubs and Business Stands. Free entry with easy parking. All are welcome.

Competition judges will be walking throughout the whole event and all winners of the glam gran, dog show, bonnie baby etc. will be announced at 3.30pm from the band stand by Seamus.

Greenway Community Funday on Sunday 5 September ’21

Team Rathkeale, the Rathkeale Community Council and over 40 volunteers invited Limerick residents and visitors to their Greenway Community Funday on Sunday 5 September 2021. The celebration took place in the park next to the historic Augustinian Abbey (map). It featured music, food, games, competitions, spot prizes as well as a market. €5,000 of the proceeds were donated to the Butterfly Club, a charity for children with special needs.
